In today’s post, I want to talk about fear of success. Trust is the most important thing for a medium to have. I know this sounds obvious. But if you don’t trust what you’re hearing from the spiritual realm, you can get lost in your own thoughts. Then you won’t be able to receive a clear message. In my experience, this is the most difficult hurdle for new students to cross.
I’m often asked, “How do you know what you’re hearing is from the spiritual realm? How can you be sure it’s not coming from within your mind?” With practice, you’ll learn how to distinguish between spiritual messages and your own thoughts. The only way to learn to do this is to let go of your fears so the spirit can work with you. This is impossible when you’re afraid.
That statement about being afraid can be applied to many aspects of our lives. People who are afraid to step out of their comfort zones will not do the things that their souls want them to do. At some point, everybody has been told to do this or to do that, or to live a certain way, and so on. But only your individual soul knows what path is really the right one for you.
People often sleepwalk through life without ever really understanding what their souls yearn for. I feel sad for those people. Perhaps you’re one of them. I guarantee that if you’re reading this post, your soul is ready to be awakened.
I believe every person is here on this earth to accomplish something. I’m truly convinced that you’re here to use the gifts you have to improve mankind and to help other people. I know how trite this sounds. But really, if we aren’t here to elevate humanity and to make a positive difference in other people’s lives, then why are we here?
I get it. Fear is scary! In my line of work, I meet so many clients who remain firmly planted where they are because fear won’t let them go where their souls want to take them. I’ve even been there myself. But you have to realize that you only get one chance in this particular life. Yes, I believe in reincarnation, and I know we each get multiple lives to live. But we only get one opportunity to be who we are now. We’ve all heard the “Just do it” commercials. They sound so cliché! But clichés almost always have at least some truth to them. This one certainly does.
I encourage you to take the time you need to really ponder this concept. Take five or ten minutes by yourself in a quiet place, and get outside of your head. Try to let go of your thoughts, and drop down into your spiritual self. I believe that you’re able to feel your spirit more when you’re not in your head. Listen to what your spirit is telling you about what will nourish it.
You are an eternal being that can do anything you decide you want to do. You can live your dreams. Believe me when I say that it can be done. I’m doing it myself! Once I couldn’t imagine receiving and sharing messages from the Spiritual realm. But when you decide to follow your spirit, then the Universe won’t let you down. I promise if you start following your true path, windows, doors, and secret passages will open to you. You just have to look for them.
Obstacles that used to look insurmountable will begin to clear when you begin listening to your spirit. I’m not saying that everything’s easy peasy and there are no challenges when you’re on your spiritual path. That’s simply not true. There will always be challenges But when you’re going the wrong way, your road will be bumpy and may ultimately be blocked. When you’re moving in the right direction, you may feel some bumps and you may encounter resistance, both from others and from yourself. But what you’ll feel in your body, in your heart, and in your chakra is that you’re right.
So don’t give up on yourself. Keep going! I wish you tremendous success as you press on in new directions.
